Creating an innovative and nationally relevant exhibition, called The RAF: 1980 to Today, which will showcase the RAF’s essential role over the last 40 years and offer visitors the opportunity to explore its mission in the present day.
I prioritized an accessible design, ensuring the information was both clear and straightforward to navigate, while also allowing for the seamless integration of additional dates. Drawing inspiration from the RAF's current design aesthetic, I developed an intuitive icon system that enables users to easily interpret dates, photos, and corresponding details.
Red icons signify RAF-specific events, while blue icons represent global occurrences. This interactive system offers an engaging experience, with users able to access audio commentary through button activation on the icons. Additionally, a keypad allows users to filter events by displaying one colour at a time, enhancing the overall usability and clarity of the exhibit.
